I began my dental career in 1994 and have had the pleasure of serving the Palm Springs community here at Palm Springs Family and Cosmetic Dentistry since 2008.
My team and I understand that you have many options for your dental care. I believe my most important role is to help you navigate those options with clarity and confidence. Originally from Georgetown, SC, I earned my degree from the Medical University of South Carolina before serving as a commissioned officer in the Navy and Public Health Service. That journey took me from hospital-based practices to remote villages above the Arctic Circle, giving me a deep breadth of clinical experience.
After years in the Pacific Northwest, I followed my love for the sun to the desert. I’ve proudly made Palm Springs my permanent home and remain dedicated to delivering the highest quality, evidence-based care to my neighbors.

I have practiced in Palm Desert since 1993. Although I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, I moved to California to attend the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and the Graduate Prosthodontics Program at USC.
As an award-winning prosthodontist, I specialize in the "architecture" of the smile. My expertise covers a wide range of removable and fixed dental services such as veneers, crowns, partials, and dentures. In addition, I bring experience in selected root canal treatments as well as limited oral surgery and implants. I am a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Prosthodontics and the American Dental Association, and I participate in various study clubs to continue bringing you exceptional care.
On a personal note, I have been married since 1997 to my wife, Sharon, who is also a dentist. We have two children, Aja and Logan. In our spare time, we enjoy being a tight knit family that spends a lot of time camping, boating, skiing, and hiking.

I am a Minnesota native who moved to California to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating from Loma Linda University with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2015, I moved to Palm Springs to serve the desert community.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, exercising, traveling, and dining out. I also appreciate relaxing nights at home watching Bravo or visiting with friends and family. Although I enjoy the heat the desert brings, my midwestern roots still shine through. When football season rolls around, you can usually find me rooting for the Minnesota Vikings.
